The Institute of Pulmonology, Medical Research and Development (IPMRD) was incorporated in May 2004 as a non profit organization with the purpose of development of pulmonary medicine and education in India and to perform clinical and basic research.

IPMRD aims to make human, financial, infrastructure and scientific resources available for efficient respiratory medical services and research.
